Avalanche Blast - The Track Record

During the 2003-2004 avalanche season the Avalanche Blast was used on real control work missions and completed over 400 blasts. Missions were carried out in a wide range of flying conditions for both ski areas and highways. A few small refinements were made in the summer of 2004 and this season it is in use again.

• 100 "Proof of Design" tests - Fall of 2003
• 400 Operational Blasts, 2003-04 Season (Actual control work)
• Release rate of 80% on Operational Blasts
• Currently in use with refinements, 2004-05 Season
